1.Introduction

1.1.DecTron LLC (“DecTron,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Oregon limited liability company that owns and operates the website located at https://dectronusa.com.

1.2.This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit, browse, or make a purchase through https://dectronusa.com or any related website, online store, mobile application, or checkout experience operated by DecTron (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy also explains your rights regarding your personal information and how to exercise those rights.

1.3.By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy. We do not use, share, or sell your personal information except as described in this Privacy Policy.


2.Definitions

As used in this Privacy Policy, the following terms have the meanings set forth below:

2.1.“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household. Personal information does not include publicly available information, deidentified information, or aggregate consumer information.

2.2.“Sensitive personal information” means personal information that reveals a consumer’s Social Security number, driver’s license or state identification number, financial account information (including account log-in credentials), precise geolocation data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, biometric information processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying a consumer, or the contents of mail, email, or text messages (where DecTron is not the intended recipient).

2.3.“Sale” or “sell” means the disclosure of personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, as defined under applicable state privacy laws.

2.4.“Share” or “sharing” means the disclosure of personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration.

2.5.“Service provider” means a person or entity that processes personal information on behalf of DecTron pursuant to a written contract that restricts the service provider from retaining, using, or disclosing the personal information for any purpose other than performing the services specified in the contract.

2.6.“Targeted advertising” means displaying advertisements to a consumer where the advertisement is selected based on personal information obtained from the consumer’s activities over time and across nonaffiliated websites or online applications to predict the consumer’s preferences or interests. Targeted advertising does not include advertisements based on activities within the Site, advertisements based on the context of a consumer’s current search query or visit, or advertisements directed to a consumer in response to the consumer’s request for information or feedback.


3.Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following categories. Not all categories are collected from every consumer; the specific information collected depends on how you interact with us.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, except for financial account log-in credentials that you provide to create an account on the Site. We do not collect precise geolocation data, biometric information, or information concerning your health, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, or religious beliefs.


4.How We Collect Personal Information

4.1.Information You Provide Directly

4.1.1.We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you place an order, create an account, sign up for a newsletter, contact us with an inquiry, or otherwise interact with the Site. This includes your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and payment information.

4.1.2.Payment information (including credit card numbers and bank account details) is processed securely by our third-party payment processors and is not stored on our servers. We retain only a truncated record of your payment method (e.g., card type and last four digits) for order-tracking purposes.

4.2.Information Collected Automatically.  When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information using cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies. This information includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring and exit URLs, pages viewed, time and date of your visit, and the duration of your session.

4.3.Information from Third Parties.  We may receive personal information about you from third parties, including payment processors (transaction confirmation data), shipping carriers (delivery status), and analytics providers (aggregated browsing data). We may also receive information from advertising partners if you interact with our advertisements on third-party platforms.


5.How We Use Personal Information

5.1.We use your personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:

5.1.7.Complying with legal obligations, including tax reporting, regulatory requirements, and responding to lawful requests from governmental authorities.

5.2.We process personal information only for the purposes described above or for purposes reasonably compatible with those purposes. We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use your personal information for materially different purposes without providing you notice.


6.Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the business purposes described below:

6.1.Service Providers. We share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf under written contracts that restrict their use of the information. These include:

6.2.Legal Obligations and Protection of Rights.  We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of DecTron, our customers, or others; or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security issues, or technical problems.


7.Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.


8.Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

8.1.DecTron does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

8.2.We may share certain personal information (such as online identifiers and internet activity data) with advertising and analytics partners through cookies and similar tracking technologies for purposes of targeted advertising. Under some state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, this activity may constitute “sharing” of personal information.

8.3.You have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. See the “Your Privacy Rights” section below for instructions on how to exercise this right.

8.4.We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.


9.Cookies and Tracking Technologies

9.1.We use cookies and similar technologies on the Site. These technologies fall into the following categories:

9.1.1.Essential cookies: Required for the Site to function properly, including shopping cart functionality, secure checkout, and session management. These cookies cannot be disabled.

9.1.2.Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the Site by collecting information about pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns. We use Google Analytics and similar services for this purpose.

9.1.3.Marketing and advertising cookies: Used to deliver relevant advertisements and track the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These cookies may be placed by third-party advertising partners.

9.2.Your Cookie Choices. You may manage your cookie preferences in the following ways:

9.2.1.Browser settings: Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through the browser’s settings menu. Note that blocking essential cookies may impair Site functionality.

9.2.2.Global Privacy Control (GPC): We recognize and honor GPC signals transmitted by your browser. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for the sale and sharing of personal information associated with that browser.

9.2.3.Do Not Track: There is no uniform standard for responding to Do Not Track browser signals. We do, however, honor GPC signals as described above.


10.Data Retention

10.1.We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:

10.1.1.Order and transaction data: Retained for seven years following the date of the transaction for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes.

10.1.2.Account information: Retained for as long as your account remains active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your account information within 45 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

10.1.3.Marketing and communications data: Retained until you opt out of marketing communications or request deletion.

10.1.4.Analytics and browsing data: Retained for up to 26 months from the date of collection.

10.1.5.Customer service records: Retained indefinitely to support customer service inquiries, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, tax and accounting compliance, and to maintain accurate purchase histories for customers who request information about past orders.

10.2.When personal information is no longer needed for any business or legal purpose, we delete it or render it de-identified so that it can no longer be associated with you.


11.Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have some, or all, of the following rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights for all consumers regardless of state of residence, to the extent they are applicable:

11.1.Right to Know and Access. You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed it.

11.2.Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (such as data needed to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, detect security incidents, or exercise legal claims).

11.3.Right to Correct. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of the processing.

11.4.Right to Data Portability. You have the right to request a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another entity.

11.5.Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising. You may exercise this right by using the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, by contacting us as described below, or by following the opt-out instructions on the Site.

11.6.Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising. You have the right to opt out of the processing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising.

11.7.Right to Opt Out of Profiling. You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

11.8.Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. If we collect sensitive personal information, you have the right to limit the use and disclosure of that information to purposes that are reasonably necessary for us to perform the services or provide the goods you request.

11.9.Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, provide a different level of quality, or suggest that you will receive any of these as a consequence of exercising your rights.

11.10.Right to Appeal. If we decline your privacy request in whole or in part, you have the right to appeal that decision. To submit an appeal, contact us using the methods described below. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, we will provide you with information on how to contact your state’s attorney general to submit a complaint.

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension (up to an additional 45 days) and the reason for the delay.


12.Verification

To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will ask you to provide information that matches the personal information we already maintain about you, such as your name, email address, and order history. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request. If we cannot verify your identity, we may request additional information or deny the request.


13.Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof that you have provided the agent with written authorization and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us, unless the agent provides a valid power of attorney.


14.Children’s Privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. If a consumer is between 13 and 16 years of age, we will not sell or share their personal information unless the consumer has affirmatively authorized us to do so.


15.Data Security

15.1.We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure server infrastructure, access controls limiting employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis, and regular security assessments.

15.2.Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information. In the event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities as required by law.


16.Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to websites, applications, or services operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Site.


17.International Users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States.


18.Marketing Communications

18.1.With your consent or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send you marketing emails about products, promotions, and news related to DecTron. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

18.1.1.Clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of every marketing email.

18.2.We will process your opt-out request within 10 business days. Please note that even after you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional messages related to your orders, account, or customer-service inquiries.


19.State-Specific Privacy Disclosures

19.1.California Residents

19.1.1.If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”). In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in the “Personal Information We Collect” section above. We have disclosed personal information to service providers for the business purposes described in the “Disclosure of Personal Information” section. We may have “shared” internet activity and online identifier data with advertising partners as described in the “Sale and Sharing of Personal Information” section.

19.1.2.California residents may exercise their rights as described in the “Your Privacy Rights” and “How to Exercise Your Rights” sections above. You may also submit requests by calling us at 503-482-5043.

19.1.3.We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA. We do not offer financial incentives for the collection or sale of personal information.

19.1.4.Shine the Light: Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

19.2.Oregon Residents

If you are an Oregon resident, you have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (ORS 646A.570 et seq.), including the rights described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section above. Additionally, you have the right to obtain a list of the specific third parties to whom we have disclosed your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us as described in the “How to Exercise Your Rights” section. We recognize and honor universal opt-out mechanisms, including Global Privacy Control, as required by Oregon law effective January 1, 2026.

19.3.Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Other State Residents

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer-privacy laws—including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Texas (TDPSA), Indiana (INCDPA), Kentucky (KCDPA), and other states with comparable laws—may exercise the rights described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section. The specific rights available to you depend on the laws of your state. If your state law provides an appeal process and we deny your request, we will inform you of how to appeal and how to contact your state’s attorney general if you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the appeal.

19.4.Nevada Residents

Under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A, Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of certain “covered information” collected by operators of websites or online services. We do not currently sell covered information as defined under Nevada law, but you may submit an opt-out request by contacting us at sales@dectronusa.com.


20.Changes to This Privacy Policy

20.1.We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

20.1.1.Post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site with an updated “Effective Date” and “Last Updated” date.

20.1.2.Provide notice by email to customers for whom we have an email address on file, or by prominent notice on the Site homepage, at least 30 days before the effective date of the material change.

20.1.3.Material changes to this Privacy Policy will not apply retroactively to personal information collected before the effective date of the revised policy, unless we obtain your affirmative consent.

20.2.We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Prior versions of this Privacy Policy are available upon request by contacting us.


21.Dispute Resolution

21.1.Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, including its interpretation, validity, or enforceability, will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflicts-of-law principles.

21.2.Any such dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its then-current rules. The arbitration will take place in the State of Oregon. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

21.3.In any arbitration or legal proceeding arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its reasonable attorney fees, costs, and expenses from the non-prevailing party.

21.4.Nothing in this section limits your right to file a complaint with your state’s attorney general or other applicable regulatory authority regarding our data-privacy practices.
